Mufasa
Appears in: The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Mufasa is the father of Simba and husband of Sarobi. He was a wise and kind king who died saving cub Simba from a stampeede,
a plot hatched by his only sibling, Scar. After his death, he appeared as a ghost to guide Simba and Rafiki, and to watch
the presentation of his granddaughter, Princess Kiara.

Sarobi
Appears In: The Lion King
Sarobi is the Queen of the Pridelands. She is the wife of Mufasa and mother of Simba. She is the grandmother of princess
Kiara. She is sweet natured and a loving mother.

Scar
Appears in: The Lion King
Scar was the jealous and murderous brother of Mufasa. He was king for a short period of time after he killed Mufasa and
scared Simba away. He was faced by the grown Simba who had come to claim his kingdom. He was murdered by his partners, the
hyenas, whom he betrayed. He was the mate of Zira, and father of Nuka and Vitani. Although he didn't father Kovu, he handchose
him to kill Simba and take his place as king.


Nala
Appears In: The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Nala is the daughter of Sarafina. Her father is unknown. She was the childhood friend of prince Simba, and became his
mate after finding him in the jungle while searching for help to save the Pride Lands. She is a confident, smart and trusting
lioness, and is the next queen of the Pride Lands. Kiara is her and Simba's daughter.

Rafiki
Appears In: The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.
Rafiki is the crazy yet wise baboon who is respected by all creatures. He is the official presenter of newborn royals
to the citizens of the kingdom. He serves as a guider to the royals he serves. He helped Simba realize he must become king.
He brought Kiara and Kovu together. He talks to the ghost of his good friend, Mufasa, who helps Rafiki to guide the lions.


Zazu
Appears in: The Lion King, The Lion King II
Zazu is the advisor of the king. He helped save Simba from the stampeede by finding him on his lone branch. He also served
as a babysitter for Simba and Nala, a job he despised. He's been through a lot, but he's always on top of the going-ons in
the Pride Lands.

Kiara
Appears in: The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Kiara is the main character in Simba's Pride. She's the headstrong daughter of Simba and Nala and dosn't look forward
to becoming the next queen. She falls in love with an Outlander named Kovu, and Simba orders her never to see him again. But
Kiara and Kovu's love proves strong, and they make Simba see that they are ment to be together.

Zira
Appears in: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Zira is the mother of Vitani, Nuka, and Kovu. She's evil at heart and is the mate of the late Scar (though Kovu is not
Scar's son.) Zira raised Kovu to kill Simba and get the thrown, but she's in for a surprise when he goes against her and urges
her to see both prides are better as one. She ends up dying at the end of the movie-she tried to pounce onto Simba, but Kiara
knocked her away and into the river.
But now she can be with Scar forever.

Vitani
Appears in: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Vitani is the only daughter of Scar and Zira. She has a brother, Nuka, and a half brother, Kovu. She's smart and strong.
She does all she can to help Kovu become king. In the end Vitani becomes part of Simba's pride and sees that the two prides
are better as one.

Simba
Appears in: The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Simba is the son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarobi. He is the hero in the first movie and a lead character in his second
movie. When Simba was a cub, his father was murdered and Simba's uncle, Scar, convinced Simba it was Simba's own fault and
Scar scared him away from the Pride Lands. Simba was raised by a warthog named Pumbaa and a merkat named Timon. Simba regained
his kingdom after defeating Scar. Simba and his mate, Nala, have a daughter named Kiara.

Sarafina
Appears in: The Lion King
Sarafina is the mother of Nala. She dosn't have a mate and that leads many to question who fathered Nala. Sarafina is
also the best friend of Sarobi. She only has one line in the first and only movie, but she's still an important character
because she makes us wonder who Nala's father is.


Hyenas: Bonzai, Ed, and Shenzi
Appears in: The Lion King
This trio of hyenas were under the command of Scar, their main accomplice in recieving food (he would reward them with
a kill). Shenzi is smart and the only girl, Bonzai is more serious and focused, and easily annoyed, and Ed is the dumb, always
laughing one. These three hyenas, along with the rest of Scar's hyena army, killed Scar after he betrayed them.


Pumbaa and Timon
Appears in: The Lion King, The Lion King II
Pumbaa is the warthog; Timon, the merkat. They found young Simba passed out in the desert and rescued him. They raised
him from a cub to an adult and all three are the best of friends. Timon and Pumbaa helped to save the kingdom and raise Simba
and Nala's daugher, Kiara.


Kovu
Appears in: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Kovu is the son of Zira, and half-brother of Nuka and Vitani. He was hand chosen by Scar to kill Simba and become king.
His mother, Zira, trained Kovu all his life on how to kill Simba. His plan is shaken, though, when he finds himself in love
with Simba's daughter, Kiara. He sees that he dosn't want to kill Simba, and that he just wants to be with Kiara.


Nuka
Appears in: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Nuka is the older, weaker brother of Kovu (sound familiar?!) and Vitani. He is the only son of Scar. He is jealous of
Kovu's being chosen to take Pride Rock. He dies trying to prove his bravery to his mother, Zira, by chasing after Simba up
a dam. The dam breaks and the logs tumble onto Nuka, and kill him.
